Got a code from your club or association?
Your code:
Your organization has covered your team for the season, so nobody on it needs to buy anything. You'll enter the code in step 3.
Five steps
- Get the app. Sideline DJ is in beta on iPhone and iPad: join the beta and we'll send you the link. Sign up with your email.
- Create your team on the Teams tab: its name and birth years. If you use TeamSnap, tap Import from TeamSnap and your players and games come in. If another parent already runs your team in Sideline DJ, the app offers Ask to Join instead.
- Enter your code (if you have one): open the team, then Settings, Association Code. The team screen then says "Covered by" your organization.
- Invite the other DJs: Team Settings, Add Another DJ, and send the link to the parents who take turns in the booth. They're covered too.
- Invite families: on the team screen, Invite sends the family link. Parents check how their player's name sounds, and can pick a song or two for the dressing room playlist.
Before your first game
- Connect Apple Music on the phone that runs the game (the horn and every announcement work without it).
- Plug the phone into the rink's sound system, or pair a Bluetooth speaker.
- Do a test run in the parking lot, then reset to 0-0.
- Turn on Do Not Disturb so texts don't come through the speakers. The app reminds you.
