Sideline DJ is free for the whole game. The Sideline DJ Pass adds every player's name, recorded, for US$49 a year. One Pass covers your family's teams, and the whole team plays it free.

Every game, any number of teams: game flow, goal horn, Apple Music, TeamSnap, and names in the phone's own voice.
- Your first game, on us
Your first team gets every player's name recorded for its first real game. Practice at home doesn't use it up.
- The Pass
US$49 a year. Every name recorded for up to 5 active teams, new players included. Family Sharing on.
- Your whole team plays it
Usually one person per team pays. Every other parent joins free and runs the same recordings on their phone.

The pay-per-player figures are a popular walk-up intro app's published prices, checked October 2026, with a professional voice for every player. Its activation is US$6.99 or C$9.99 in the App Store; its voices are priced at US$3.99 each, so the Canadian totals are approximate. Sideline DJ: US$49 or C$64.99 a year in the App Store.
Every Pass bought through a team's page gives that team $10.

What is free?
Running every game: the game flow, the goal horn, music from Apple Music, TeamSnap, attendance, and player names read in the phone's own voice. Any number of teams and games, always.
What does the Pass add?
Recorded announcements: every player's name and number called in a clear announcer voice for the lineup and every goal, assist calls, and your team name. New players are recorded automatically, and a name said wrong is re-recorded free.
What is the free game?
Your first team gets every name recorded free, for its first real game. Practice runs at home don't use it up. After that game the phone's own voice reads the names until you get the Pass, and your recordings come straight back.
Who needs the Pass?
Usually one person per team: whoever records the names. Everyone else on the team joins free and plays the same recordings on their own phone.
My kids are on different teams. Do I pay twice?
No. One Pass covers up to 5 active teams, in hockey and ringette, and Family Sharing lets a second parent use it too. Running more than 5 at once? Pass Plus covers 10.
What happens if I stop paying?
Recordings made with your Pass keep playing. New players and new teams use the phone's own voice until you renew.
How do I pay?
In the iPhone app, through your Apple ID. It renews each year until you cancel in your Apple ID settings.
