Walk-up songs and ballpark music, coming late 2026.

Sideline DJ is coming to youth baseball and softball soon after launch, in late 2026. The parent in the booth will run every batter's walk-up song, the ballpark organ and the big moments from an iPhone, on a game screen built for baseball: innings, outs and a batting order, not a hockey screen with the words changed.

What will Sideline DJ do at a baseball game?

One tap per batter. The walk-up button knows who is up: the announcer calls them up, says their number and name in a clear announcer voice, and their walk-up song plays from the part they love. When the batter steps in, Fade & Stop brings it down. Runs, home runs, outs and the big moments get their own buttons, with ballpark organ and the classics parents know.

It isn't available yet: baseball and softball come in an update to the iPhone app in late 2026. Sideline DJ launches for youth hockey and ringette first.

Pre · Innings · Final

The baseball game, in order.

What the baseball game screen will do, from warm-up to the final out.

Before the game

Set up once

At home, before the season.

  • Walk-up songs: families pick their own child's song on the family link, and set where it starts. The coach sees every pick and can change it.
  • The batting order: mark who is here and move players up or down. The whole roster bats.
  • Innings: 6 for baseball, 7 for softball, or fewer for a younger team's game.
Pre-game

Warm-up to first pitch

Warm-up music back to back, then the lineup read over it in batting order. First Pitch starts the game.

  • Warm-up music with Pause, Resume and Next Song.
  • The lineup called by number and name, in batting order.
When you bat

One tap per batter

The big gold button always calls the next batter.

  • Walk-Up: the call-up, the name, then their song from its start. On deck and in the hole are shown.
  • Run: a quick sting, then tap everyone who crossed the plate. Home Run credits the batter.
  • Out: 1, 2, then the 3rd out switches sides with a song.
When they bat

Our defence

Music for our side, never at the other team's batters.

  • Strikeout: a short organ sound for our pitcher, never mocking the batter.
  • Pitching Change: a song while our new pitcher warms up.
  • Their 3rd out plays something upbeat as our fielders come in.
Any time

The ballpark organ

Pads for Charge, Let's Go, Clap Build, Here We Go and a rally, from real stadium organ recordings on Apple Music.

  • Take Me Out to the Ball Game for the seventh-inning stretch (whichever inning your team picks).
Final

The last out

The last song matches the result, and the recap lists every run.

  • A victory song, or a good-game song for the handshake line.
  • The recap shows runs by inning and home runs by player, and Share the game makes a card to post.

Softball, the same app.

Softball runs on the same game screen. A team setting switches the wording and the usual innings to 7. Fastpitch crowds love a chant, and the organ's Let's Go and the clap build suit them.

One Pass, every sport.

The Sideline DJ Pass covers your teams in any sport the app supports. A Pass bought for hockey or ringette also covers your baseball or softball team when it comes in late 2026. See pricing.

Questions

Baseball & softball questions.

Does Sideline DJ work for baseball or softball?

Not yet. Baseball and softball are coming soon after launch, in late 2026, in an update to the iPhone app. Sideline DJ launches for youth hockey and ringette first.

What will Sideline DJ do at a baseball game?

Each batter gets a walk-up: the announcer calls them up ("Now batting", "Up to bat" and other lines, rotating), says their number and name, then plays their walk-up song from the best part. You fade it when the batter is ready. Buttons cover runs, home runs, outs, strikeouts and pitching changes, with ballpark organ and classics.

Can each player have their own walk-up song?

Yes. Families pick their own child's walk-up song from the family link, and set where it starts. The coach sees every pick and can change it. Clean versions only for youth teams.

Will it keep the batting order?

Yes. The whole roster bats in one continuous order. Mark who is here, move players up or down, and the walk-up button always calls the next batter. On deck and in the hole are shown.

Does it work for softball too?

Yes. Softball is the same game screen, with a team setting that switches the wording and the usual innings (7 for softball, 6 for baseball). You can pick fewer innings for a younger team's game.

Is there ballpark organ music?

Yes. An Organ button opens pads for Charge, Let's Go, Clap Build, Here We Go, a rally and the stretch, played from real stadium organ recordings on Apple Music. Take Me Out to the Ball Game plays for the stretch.

Will the Pass cover baseball and softball?

Yes. The Sideline DJ Pass covers your teams in any sport the app supports, so a Pass bought for hockey or ringette also covers your baseball or softball team when it comes in late 2026.
